High Performance

Welcome to Spring High Performance

Our Spring High Performance Program provides an opportunity for our most ambitious, committed and highly motivated players  to take their game to the next level.  We are looking for players who have a sound technical base and are committed to continuous improvement and excellence.

  • 10 week program of 90 minute weekly HP practice led by professional coaches
  • Maximum coach to player ratio 1:10
  • Benefit from world-class technology to develop and enhance performance, including video analysis and smart goals
  • Guest coaching sessions with Canadian National Team Players
  • HP Squad will play in the Club Championships

The High Performance Program is a combination of skills & games sessions to ensure well-rounded training.  Players develop their skills in the HP training sessions and then apply what they have learned in their Spring league games.   In addition, the HP squad will play in the Club Championships. Athletes are expected to participate in both.

Athletes are expected to demonstrate commitment to the program, a strong work ethic and be open to constructive criticism. Players not adhering to these expectations may be removed from the HP program

HP Training Groups

We will no longer have HP tryouts before the season start, instead we will run an HP assessment process which will take place during the first two weeks of the program, after which players will be divided into various training groups.

Players will be grouped and assessed according to their technical, tactical, mental, physical, coachable abilities along with their commitment to the HP program.   These training groups are not fixed for the duration of the program and player movement will be facilitated by coaches to promote good training behaviours.

This assessment process will allow all athletes to enter the club’s competitive pathway. This is critical for long-term player development as many athletes are late-developers or adopters to the sport.

There will be a mandatory parent and athlete introduction meeting at the beginning of the season, where our HP and Club philosophy to athlete development will be explained.

Spring HP Games

We will participate in the Spring Youth League (an additional cost of $100). The top athletes are encouraged to participate and games will be held on Saturday's (U18) or Sunday's (U14, U16) during the Spring season.
