We want to make sure that registering for our programs is as easy as possible... but sometimes things don't go to plan.

This is a new system for us - please bear with us as we go through this transition period.  We are still learning and there may be some glitches we find along the way.

Financial Assistance

WVFHC operates on a non-profit basis and is committed to keeping costs as low as possible.

When appropriate we will accommodate flexible payment plans to allow our members to pay in a schedule that works for them.  To discuss this in complete confidence contact

Athletics 4 Kids

The support of A4K is available province-wide for children ages 5 to 18 who are currently enrolled in school. Registration fees are paid for any sport recognized by Sport BC.

Kidsport Canada

KidSport North Shore provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

Helps kids in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation.

The Matt Nosworthy Fund

From the generous donations of one of our long-standing players and coaches, Matt Nosworthy, we are able to offer financial assistance for youth who wish to participate in some of our higher cost programs.


Who is eligible?

Players who are eligible to participate in our higher cost programs but for whom costs are financially prohibitive and/or not affordable by their families.

The Matt Nosworthy Fund is open to boys and girls aged 5-18 years.


Which Programs are eligible?

You may apply for the following programs:

  • Touring teams - to a value of $500
  • High Performance Program - to a value of $225
  • Sportways Summer Camp - to a value of $175

Note: You must have tried out and been offered a place on a touring team or the High Performance Program before applying.

How do I apply?

To apply to the Matt Nosworthy Fund, parents or caregivers should email the following information to

  • Player's name & full contact information
  • Program that you wish to participate in
  • Amount that you would like to request from the Fund
  • 1-2 sentences about why the player would like to participate in the program & the value they will receive from doing so.

All applications will be considered in strict confidence.  Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and until funds are depleted for the year.
