LOOKING TO IMPROVE YOUR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE?

WVFHC proudly launched our very own YouTube channel in 2017 in partnership with WNT captain Kate Wright. The channel gives players and coaches the opportunity to watch and learn from one of Canada's best female athletes.

Each skill is broken down into 4 elements, each with their own unique coaching points:

1) Grip
2) Ball position
3) Body position
4) Action

Coach Profile: Chris Cook

What age group do you Coach?
U13 Girls - this is my fourth year as a WVFHC  Coach.

Do you feel the WVFHC gave you enough support and resources to help you coach your team?
I'm regularly impressed with the level of support and resources that the WVFHC provides to the volunteer coaches.  I've benefited greatly from orientation and skill development clinics and continue to rely heavily on the expert coaching support provided during practice times.

What do you appreciate the most about working with the club?
I really love the sense of community created at WVFHC.  Collectively, we're teaching these young people how to train and compete, how to lead (on and off the field), how to win and how to lose and (the most important lesson to me) how to have fun along the way!
